Hi ho, girlfriends. Just finished a marathon of 20 episodes up to episode 120. Absolutely gripping stuff. The more you go on the more depressing it is to know there are so few episodes still to come. Love and joy to you all for sharing the wealth You filled a quiet week up admirably.

Yay - the wanderer returns!
Hope you are well Mr W.
I must ask a question though.
Did that last batch flow seamlessly? I only ask because on BSB episode 108 was our final episode. For years it was the last one.
Episode 109 was finally seen some 5 years later and always seems to me like a "second season", a new restart if you like. Somehow it was never the same.
Of course it wasn't. When 109 was made it was intended to be broadcast only 3 days after 108 - just the next episode. So did it seem seamless to you? It's all context I suppose.

There was no major difference. There does suddenly seem to be a lot of new faces on the scene but that's not unusual for this series. I will say that those interminable Sci-Fi channel bumpers were really annoying me though! The standard of wriitng and directing does suddenly improve with this batch. Suddenly there are less errors such as mis-timed cameras and fluffed lines. But also the episodes flow much more quickly and seem almost streamlined. Whether this is a consequence of the new run or not I don't know. Not keen on this tit who's directing Romeo and Juliet though - where did he come from all of a sudden? Can you approve my membership? I'm sure I was a member before but couldn't find the details anywhere.

Hi All. Am I missing some news here? It's just that I've been reading posts talking about viewing episodes beyond 60 which was the last DVD released. Has the American format been released already and if so can somebody pass on details of how to get them? Are they available on this site? I would gratefully appreciate any light being thrown upon this.
Regards,
Lemon1970

I thought that whole block flowed quite well. Even the new faces don't make it seem like a new series - but then major characters did have a habit of vanishing after three months anyway!

Jolly good. I'm not as familiar with the final 42. I'll enjoy watching them again.

I'm just entereing the final straight. I have to say that I can see Nathan's point now about these episodes seeming like a different series. Characters who were the primary focus have either left (Creasey) or seem to have nothing to do (Finbow). Instead a load of annoying new characters have taken centre stage (and boy, do I hate Byron and Tranquility).
At least Brelan's still there to provide the required Napoleon complex!

Although I have to say that I think the final ten episodes or so pick up admirably.
Glad your still with us, James.

Hey there! It's great to hear somebody has been viewing episodes after 59 ( THe DVD's I have stop at 59 ). How can I get my hands on this piece of gold and has anybody heard anything yet from the American company which is supposed to have taken the rights to produce them on DVD? I had to make do with flicking throught the BSB TV month reading about the episodes which I never saw as I was working at the time!

Yes, the US company is called Image Entertainment, and they are working on the series now. Their website is www.image-entertainment.com - but they aren't listing it yet. I will post full details when I get them.
