I have the original recording of that song in full! ...and until you said that I thought you were such a cool dude! ;D (Seriously, was it considered as a DVD extra?)

I would say "that'd be nice" if the song didn't make me cringe so violently!

Doesn't Episode 4 have that classic line:
"... but for your Bob to be a Horsfall when my Bob is a Horsfall is a bit strange, especially when your Bob is a Bavarian"
Anyway I like Piers reaction to that whole "Girl I love is Up in the Galaxy" scene.
For that I'm posting the mp3 later on!

It's not as bad as Saras' & Melodys' duet!

Both files are great to hear, Nathan - particularly the Alan Parker cue. Obviously a soundtrack album of Alan Parker's music is unlikely, but how much stuff like this cue exists today?
And who recorded the Girl I Love Is Up in the Galaxy track? I assume it's more likely to be Parker than Time Kode.

The Girl I love is up in the Galaxy was indeed recorded in Prague during the Parker sessions in November 1989. It uses a Czech vocalist (can you tell?) but not sure if it is Parker himself playing the piano.
We have the bulk of the recording sessions on CD (not sure how else it exists) that I would say covers around 95% of the music cues. There are only a few that I don't have (and they weren't used very often).
I am keen to see these released on CD one day (although I'm not sure if Andromeda have a full buy out on it, or whether rights to uses other than the TV show reside with Parker himself). If not a CD it would be great to include them on a future DVD of possible.
The recordings all feature the cue name and conductor (which was Parker) count in, athough these would naturally be excised from any possible release - I kept them in for your interest.

Fascinating, Nathan. And it's great that so much survives intact!

I've only just remembered I downloaded those two files, and have just "enjoyed" them. All together now - "The Girl I love........"
The classical music in JM was amazing, even more so when you consider it was all specially recorded for the programme. A CD would be great. Maybe one day, eh?
;D

The Alan Parker score is superb. Whoever had the idea to score a soap so extravagantly and atmospherically was a genius. It certainly deserves a wider audience.

Back to the original subject of the thread, Alys and I have now seen up to Episode 9 together (meaning I'm backtracking, but it's nicer watching things together rather than surreptitiously watching it with the sound on headphones after Alys has gone to bed early!). The most telling sign is that when we sit down to watch something while we eat our evening meal and I ask her what she'd like to watch, she suggests Jupiter Moon quite regularly, whereas it was down to me twisting her arm initially! A good sign, eh?

We've now watched up to Episode 20 (so I'm still backtracking), and Jupiter Moon has become part of our evening ritual! Aaahhh! ;D
