Oddly enough I was just about to ask how far you had got now.
There are a few big changes coming up so I am interested to read any comments on upcoming developments.
I take it that Volume 2 went down very well then?

Very well indeed. Some great stuff, though two episodes without Jason Durr was definitely the highlight. It's strange: of all the actors I'm seeing in Jupiter Moon, he's the one I'd least have expected to have done well in the years following the series. And of course he became a series headliner. He's so one-dimensional as Alex - it's almost as if he's jettisoning inflection in his delivery due to concentrating on keeping the accent right. I get the impression Alex is a character unlikely to stay around for the whole series, and I'll be rather relieved when he goes.
Other, better performers (in JM at least) seem to have sunk without a trace. Glad to see Anna Chancellor has done well. She's great as Mercedes and has impressed me in everything I've seen her in - even the otherwise mostly dreadful Hitchhiker movie.

I think it was hard on Jason as he came in at two days notice with no rehearsal.
I'll wait and see whether you think he settles down.

Good point. So do you think he settles down (or, indeed, do you think he was OK to begin with), Nathan?

He won me over. I won't comment on anything coming up as it would be a spoiler. Gary Russell once called him "the dogdy Dane with an even dodgier haircut" in a Starburst article. Although he wasn't Danish it did kind of stick

Well, we all understand the attraction of JM, at least!

Did your boyfriend see much of it then? Does he watch much telly?

...well, Alys and I have finally watched up to Episode 28... so from hereon in, I'm seeing stuff for the first time. Cool. Actually, watching the episodes for a second time has been interesting. I picked up a good few things I missed first time round, and warmed to some characters who I didn't quite "get" first time round, notably Harriet and Fiona. I still think the poetic pretensions are a bit false and unrealistic, but overall, the series still scores very highly with me. Great fun.

Alan - have you got a corrected copy of Volume 6?

Yeah. I ordered it from Benson's after the faults with the original pressing came to light, so I never had to return it. It's got the full stereo sound. I checked!

Her comment at the end of episode 60 was, "Get more of this. NOW."
Sadly I've not had any luck finding it anywhere. :-(

It must be very frustrating. I remember how I felt when it vanished off our screens when BSB disappeared after 108 episodes.
